Hello from Susan Marlowe CPA! I am really excited about the new family films that are being released! First, I am so excited to see Puss in Boots. Anything about cats or dogs is wonderful in my book. My niece, whom I have nicknamed Kimi Peck. I will keep everyone updated on the very latest movies that I have gone to see as well as my reviews of the films. Latest News from Susan Marlowe CPA

Greetings from Susan Marlowe CPA. I hope everyone is having a great time. I have not posted lately but will be adding more reviews very soon. Watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua again. It is as cute as ever. My niece Kimi (aka Kimi Peck) really enjoyed it as well. I have been busy at the gym and with some other projects. I am now volunteering at a local animal shelter. Florida has lots of dogs and cats who need homes. I hope you will adopt from an animal shelter when the time comes to get a new cat or dog.

Anyway, back to family films. Like I said, Beverly Hills Chihuahua is as cute as ever. I really enjoyed it.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua | A Review from Susan Marlowe CPA

It’s no secret that I love family films. Even if they get a little sappy or corny, I still love them. One of my favorites is Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Sure, it’s a silly story: A pampered Beverly Hills chihuahua lost on the streets of Mexico and her little doggy boyfriend comes to save her. Pretty muchy the typical rich girl/poor boy plot that has been around forever. But to me, it was a cute, sweet little story and my nephews just loved the movie.

As far as I am concerned, family entertainment can be judged by how much the kids enjoy it. My nephews really enjoyed the antics of the dogs and rats. Anything that has to do with dogs is fine by them. For Susan Marlowe, it was a little more of a stretch. After all, the plot is as old as the hills. However, seeing how much my nephews enjoyed the movie really gave me a better opinion of it. I think that it is a peppy, bright family film and all those cute chihuahuas sure help.

This film also has some teachable moments. You can talk to kids about dogs that have been lost or abandoned and live on the streets. If the child is mature enough, you can also touch on the issue of animal neglect. All in all, a great family film.

The CPA and the Family Film

My name is Susan K Marlowe. I am a CPA in Tallahassee, FL. I came up with the idea for this blog one day while watching movies with my nephews. We were watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua and it occurred to me that I would love to find a blog that recommends great family films for everyone to enjoy.

Unfortunately, movies like Beverly Hills Chihuahua are few and far between. So many family movies are not really meant for families. Well, this CPA is out to find the best in family entertainment and bring it to your computer to enjoy. I am always l0oking for suggestions and I am enlisting the help of my nephews to help me review these movies. They are six and eight.

Here is what is next up on our viewing schedule:

  • Hachi: A Dog’s Tale
  • Up
  • Where the Red Fern Grows
  • National Velvet
So, enjoy! And please send in recommendations!
